Program of Directed Study

FASE, Inc. offers a program of intensive Directed Study to individuals presently involved in or intending to become involved in String Education. Directed Study is designed for those teachers and teachers-in-training interested in learning about Dr. George Bornoff's philosophy, teaching materials and strategies. It is also designed for seasoned teachers as well as beginning teachers already familiar with Bornoff teaching and who want an intense refresher or retooling session. The objective is to study and experience the Bornoff approach and materials.

Directed Study is scheduled for 5 consecutive days and held at the FASE office in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts. Jennie Chan and associates provide an intensive hands-on exploration of teaching materials and strategies developed by the late Dr. Bornoff over his fifty year teaching career.

The fee for a Five-Day Directed Study is $2500. See Support Awards in the Teacher Training section for application for financial awards through FASE, Inc. The fee covers the costs associated with:

  • Daily instruction
  • Practice time
  • Materials to be used
