Since the passing of noted string pedagogue, Dr. George Bornoff, we have been expanding the role of this organization. One of the Foundation’s directives is to provide educational opportunities for the future teachers in the field of string education.

We would like to provide for the students and teachers at your institution a 2-day seminar for a minimum of 10 participants. The cost to the participants would be the purchase of some materials not to exceed $20.00. The purpose of this seminar would be to give a presentation on our basic philosophy and an introduction to the use of the Finger Patterns and Fun for Fiddle Fingers violin books in a class-teaching environment.

In order to provide this service, we would need the following:

  1. Bowed stringed instruments for each participants

  2. Adequately sized classroom with piano

  3. Music stand for each participant

  4. Publicity in your community

  5. In-house coordinator

If you are interested in this type of seminar for your students, respond to Ms. Jennie M. Chan, e-mail: jennie.chan@fase.org or write to: 27 Trinity Terrace, Newton Centre, Ma. 02459. Please let us know how best to contact you.

Jennie Chan, Director of the Bornoff String Workshop and Executive Director of the Foundation, will be the seminar presenter.
